Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art

We have been proud partners with the BALTIC since 2012. Our work here has allowed us to tailor make and deliver a range of seasonal events such as ‘BALTIC Elf Academy’ and ‘Make a Monster’ Halloween workshops.

Our collaboration with BALTIC has led us to become their resident birthday party specialists. By carefully taking BALTIC’s ethos and values into account, we have created five unique and successful birthday packages which are very popular. These offers cover a range of ages, needs and different art forms- from film making and jewellery designing to junk modelling and everything in between!

“The team at Celebration Station bring their creativity, expertise and enthusiasm to every event and as a result, BALTIC parties have gained a reputation as first choice in the region for families looking for something a little different to soft play.”

Juice Festival

We have been working closely with Juice Festival (Newcastle Gateshead Initiative) since 2014. Each year, we are commissioned to plan, direct and develop performance and drama workshops for their Big Juice Read library and school events. We love working on this project as it celebrates fantastic children’s literature and inspires young people. Our role here is to bring the pages of chosen author’s book to life- from set design to performing as story characters. Previous books have included: David Almond’s ‘The Boy Who Swam with Piranhas’, Gabrielle Kent’s ‘Alfie Bloom and the Secrets of Hexbridge Castle’, Roald Dahl’s ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’ and Chloe Daykin’s ‘Fish Boy’.

“No matter the project or brief the work that they create is always imaginative, creative and of brilliant quality. During their workshops children and young people are fully engaged in their creative role play and storytelling and are encouraged to express themselves and their ideas. Their set design and the way they dress the space is amazing with an incredible level of detail. Working with Celebration Station is always professional and collaborative and I would have no hesitation recommending them to anyone.”

Useful Vision

Here at Celebration Station, we are passionate about empowering and inspiring young people of all backgrounds and abilities. This is why we jumped at the chance to work closely with registered charity, ‘Useful Vision’ whose mission is to provide accessible opportunities and activities to vision impaired children and their families.

Since 2016 we have developed and delivered a number of projects such as skills based and themed workshops, a variety showcase and two very successful ‘Play in a Week’ Summer Schools. This work is not only incredibly imaginative and fun but allows the young people to develop self-esteem, friendships and creativity.

“We have worked with Celebration Station for over two years now the work they have done in collaboration with Useful Vision has been great. They are always very professional and work really well with the children.”

Tyneside Cinema

We are passionate about taking inspiration from a company’s ethos, history or venue and producing fun-packed events. Our previous work with Tyneside Cinema proves this. We have been commissioned to develop a ‘Superhero Training Academy’ for families which involved creative workshops and an interactive trail around the building. We have also planned and delivered a bespoke Easter Egg hunt which was closely linked to the building’s unique history.

Recently we worked closely with Tyneside event staff to design and lead a training workshop for new birthday party facilitators. This covered behaviour management techniques and simple drama games that can be themed and played in levels to help with different abilities and ages.

“The training was amazing and the staff really felt it was beneficial for them. I would definitely do this again with new starters”

Louise Bennett, Tyneside Cinema, Events Manager
